Original and quick:
These yummy puff pastry boats with our spicy pesto sauces
are perfect appetizes for all occasions.
Recipe for 11 boats

Ingredients:
|
- Puff pastry, pre-rolled (26 x 42 cm)
- 1/2 glass of Pesto Rosso and 1/2 Glas of Pesto Classico
- 6 cherry tomatoes
- 1 small zucchetti
- 11 toothpicks

Preparation:
|
- Preheat the oven to 180 degrees C
- Cut cherry tomatoes in halves
- Dice zucchetti into 1.5 cm pieces
- Cut 11 rectangles from the pastry (ca. 6 x 12.5 cm, see cutting tip)
- Cut 11 triangles from the pastry (ca. 6 cm, see cutting tip)
- Roll the long sides of the rectangles a bit inward
- Fold corners inward to shape the boat
- Generously cover the boats with pesto sauce (1 large spoon per boat)
- Press two tomatoe halves onto each green boat
- Press two zuchetti pieces onto each red boat
- Stick the pastry triangles onto the toothpicks (pastry sails)
- Stick the pastry sails into the tomatoes and zucchetti pieces
- Fix the corners of each sail to the rear and front of its boat
- Put the boats onto a baking tray and bake for 12 - 15 minutes (depending on the oven) near the bottom of the oven.
- Serve warm

Tips:
|
Cutting tip for rolled pastry 26 x 42 cm
- Horizontally cut the pastry into seven even strips and halve them
- Halve three of the rectangles again and cut diagonally into sails.
- Results in 11 rectangles for boats and 12 triangles for sails
