Simple and popular: Crostini are easily made and a classical part of light summer cuisine. Here we show you one variant of this starter that you can modify according to your own taste and ideas.


Ingredients:
  • 1 bread, any kind will do
  • 1/2 glass of Pesto Rosso and 1/2 glass of Pesto Classico
  • Olive oil
  • Fresh herbs

Preparation:
  • Preheat oven to 200 degrees C
  • Cut the bread into thin slices, halve the slices if the bread is too large
  • Spread 1 - 2 teaspoons of pesto onto the bread
  • Pour a little olive oil over the bread
  • Place the crostini on a baking tray and bake in the middle of the oven for ca. 10 to 15 minutes, depending on your oven
  • Decorate with fresh herbs
  • Serve warm


Variations:
  • The crostini can also be made with olive or thuna paste, or simply with garlic and olive oil.
